In an odd turn of events, Fr. Fessio has been rehired by Ave Maria University in a ‘non-administrative’ role. Sounds like the administration blinked and came to its senses when two thirds of the student body came out to protest immediately after news of the firing was announced.
On Wednesday, Fr. Fessio was asked to resign from Ave Maria University in Naples, Florida. He refused and was fired. However, students and staff are still waiting for an explanation of the firing.
