I doubt that we shook our evangelical friend’s faith or his resolve to save Catholics, but we at least showed him that there were Catholics who knew their Bible and could challenge him with some tough questions about his views of the church and the Bible.  I am firmly convinced that any Catholic who knows the Bible and a little Catholic apologetics will never been won over by evangelical attacks on the authority of the church.  To the contrary, we hear story after story of protestants who know the Bible well converting to Catholicism based on the weight of evidence in the Bible and Sacred Tradition.
