Lent is a wonderful time of the year for families to come together and teach children the importance of praying together and giving of yourself to others.  Every year our church hands out a Lent Calendar with each day having a special activity, it may be praying a special prayer or helping a neighbor or elderly person in the community.  My children love this tradition and look forward to checking the calendar each day through Lent, a similar resource is 40 Ways for 40 Days .  This book offers many activities, prayers, and traditions to involve the whole family.  There are many Lent resources available for adults and children to help you make this a special Lent.
